Help Support My Missionary Team to Alaska

This past June, I was hired as a full time youth director at a church in Frisco.  It compliments my jewelry ministry perfectly as the Lord has given me a flock to pour into and love. As some may know, I was in New Zealand for Discipleship Training School and was going to be a full time missionary for a year. Sadly, that dreamed was canceled due to covid which ultimately brought me back to Texas.  I've been in North Texas since. Fast forward 9 months, the Lord has opened the door for me to lead a group of students, parents, and college students on a mission trip to Alaska.  I am beyond thrilled that the Lord is restoring my life and bringing me things that were, "stolen" from me, like my mission trip in New Zealand.  This year is different and the best is yet to come.  Please read my support letter and join me on this conquest to the great state of Alaska! If you have any questions, please let me know.

Shannon's Going to
Anchorage, Alaska
March 5 - 11, 2022

“Then I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, “Whom shall I send, and who will go for Us?” Then I said, “Here am I. Send me!”
Isaiah 6:8

I humbly write this letter to inform you that the Lord has opened the door for me to LEAD a mission trip of 13 students and adults from St. Philip's Episcopal Church to Anchorage, Alaska. We will be partnering with Praying Pelicans, an organization that connects the local church on a global level through short-term mission trips. We will serve Chugach Covenant Church helping them with a hybrid vacation bible study children's ministry program, serving meals to senior citizens, helping in a food pantry that serve over 3,000 meals a day, and other projects as needed while we are there. This experience will help our youth practice their faith while learning about our brothers and sisters in Alaska.

I am very excited about this opportunity and ask that you consider supporting me and my team through prayer for spiritual and financial support. Prayers are highly needed and encouraged as I prepare for my next adventure with the Lord.

Prayer Support

“The prayer of a righteous person is powerful and effective.”
James 5:16

• Pray that I will grow in Christ’s love and His Gospel during the mission and reflect His love to others.

• Pray that God will be glorified.

• Pray for the people of Alaska to come to an awareness of who God is and that there is hope of a life lived with purpose, meaning, and love.

• Pray for the leaders, students, adults, and the congregation of Chugach Covenant Church (C3)

How to Give

“Each of you should give what you have decided in your heart to give, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
